running shoes A fresh new pair of running shoes.

My good friend Brett is casually coaching me to get back in shape. I need to lose 50lbs. 50lbs?! Some of that is COVID weight. Some is depression weight. Some is anti-depressant weight. I must admit to some careless eating habits weight. At any rate, nothing is more inspiring than a fresh pair of shoes, and a fresh pair of running shoes at that. Do I need new ones? Of course, who doesn’t?! Brett gave me On running shoes for Christmas. (Yes she’s very generous. I’ve been good this year.) I keep them next to my bed so they remind me of that satisfying feeling I get all day if I run in the morning. Or, they’re like kicks in the ass to get me out of bed and out the door.
